Who is responsible

Hosting
The site is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, as a processor on my behalf. To deliver the pages and protect them against attacks, Cloudflare necessarily processes technical request data: your IP address, the page requested, date and time, and your browser’s user-agent string. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie if it needs to tell people from bots; this site sets none itself. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in a secure, working website, and for any security cookie § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG. Cloudflare is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. I do not keep my own access logs.
Visitor statistics (GoatCounter)
To see which pages are read and how visitors find this site, I use GoatCounter, a service run by Martin Tournoij, Ireland, on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany and Finland. When you open a page, your browser sends GoatCounter the page address, the page you came from, your browser and operating system, and your screen width. Your IP address is used only to determine your country and is not stored. So that a visit isn’t counted twice, a random identifier derived from this site, your IP address and your browser is kept in memory for at most eight hours and then discarded. GoatCounter sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device; only aggregated figures are kept, which don’t identify you. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used so I can improve it. A content blocker stops the counter; the site works the same without it.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Articles 15–21 GDPR). Write to honkiponkilabs@gmail.com. You can also complain to a data protection authority. The one responsible for me is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW). No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.
