German Citizenship Test privacy policy

Your learning progress stays on your device. No account is required. The app shows Google AdMob Limited Ads but does not track you across apps or websites.

On-device data

Your language, federal state, saved questions, learning progress, exam results, used explanation previews, and any optional test date, centre, checklist, and notes you enter remain in the app's private storage. You can reset them in the app or remove them by deleting the app. We cannot view or recover this data.

Advertising

The free app may show Google AdMob Limited Ads at defined learning transitions. The app does not use personalised advertising or cross-app or cross-website tracking for this. It does not access IDFA or request App Tracking Transparency permission, and it disables Google's publisher first-party ID and SDK crash reporting before the advertising SDK starts. Google and participating authorised advertising demand partners may process technical data for ad delivery, security, fraud prevention, performance measurement, and accounting, including IP-derived approximate location, device or app information, and ad and product interactions. For programmatic Limited Ads, locally stored information may be used only to detect invalid traffic and fraud. Your learning history, saved questions, exam results, and notes are not sent. If an ad cannot load, learning continues. After the optional purchase, the app does not request ads.

Purchases through Apple

Apple processes optional purchases through StoreKit. We do not receive card or billing details. The one-time purchase removes ads permanently; every learning feature remains usable without purchase.

Support messages

If you contact us voluntarily, we process your message and contact details only to handle the request. Closed support cases are normally deleted within twelve months unless a legal duty requires longer retention. You may request earlier deletion.

Legal basis

For a support request, we process the email address, message content, and voluntary technical details you send. The legal basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(b) where handling is necessary to perform the contract, otherwise Article 6(1)(f); our legitimate interest is safe and reliable product support. The email-delivery provider may receive the data. Providing it is optional, but we cannot reply without a return channel. No automated decision-making takes place.

Your rights

Where the legal conditions apply, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Use the published contact address to exercise them. You may also complain to a data-protection supervisory authority; the linked LDI NRW is responsible for the controller based in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Independence

This app is an independent learning aid and is not affiliated with BAMF or another public authority. Linked government and Apple pages handle data under their own policies.
